“Life and Life” (From the album “In Each And Every One” by Polar Bear) is about the emotions, the anger and the pain that hit you when a relationship breaks into pieces. And the fact that life goes on.

FULL DESCRIPTION

Sebastian Rochford’s main idea for “Life and Life” was a falling, chrome like heart that crashes and destroys objects on it’s way down (Anger) and gets hit and insured by others (Pain) but eventually comes to a soft halt inches above the ground (Relief).

The visual inspiration were props, set pieces and stage designs of old theatre plays, made to look real but obviously someone is pulling the strings. The way it moves and ignorance towards physics support this look and feel.

A slow pace in the first half and highly dynamic scenes that seem never-ending amplify the feeling of the music. It’s the innocence and unawareness before it happens and the endless anger and pain when it hits you.

“Life and Life” is about emotions. It’s about a mind and body experience. It is best consumed large and loud.
